About Mikayla S. Lewis

Mikayla Lewis is a multimedia journalist from St. Petersburg, Florida with a specialty in arts and music reporting. Lewis earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Florida in Journalism and Digital Communication in May 2022. 

She knew she wanted to be a writer at a very young age, with creative writing and an interest in music paving the way for her future career. She has been writing for the online publication Alt Citizen for two years, producing over ten published articles for them. Lewis has also been published by online magazines The Lookout and The Bull Writer. 

Lewis combines her interest in the arts, writing and music through creative journalistic outlets, and is open to bringing her creative mindset to any journalistic medium.
